Cyber.bet Summer Cup Preview & Basics

Cyber.bet Summer Cup will commence with the opening matches that will be played throughout the week. Grand finals, however, will be contested on June 25th, 2020 which means that this CSGO event will last for 10 days in total.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, this tournament will be played online. A total of 8 teams will compete for their chance to lift the trophy and claim their share of the $10,000 in prize money.

Let’s talk about groups. Two double-elimination, GSL groups have been put in place. This basically means that if someone loses two matches during the group stage, it’s game over for them. Eight teams will be split into two groups of 4.

Group A Teams
  • Apeks
  • HellRaisers
  • SKADE
  • Unicorns of Love
Group B Teams
  • Ambush Esport
  • Budapest Five
  • ex-SMASH Esports
  • Illuminar Gaming

When it comes to Cyber.bet’s Summer Cup betting, it’s crucial to mention that all of the matches in the group stage will be played in the Best Of 3 format.

As usual, the best two teams from each group will advance through to the playoffs.

Playoffs, however, are a bit different. This time around, the double-elimination format will be used which means that there is room for error (teams that advance to the playoffs can lose one match).

Once again, things will be contested in the Best Of 3 format, including the grand finals.

Cyber.bet Summer Cup Predictions

Let’s talk about favorites. We only see two teams going all the way and winning Cyber.bet Summer Cup. Firstly, HellRaisers are definitely a solid team based around experienced players such as jR and Flarich.

On top of that, they did not look that bad in their last couple of matches and from our perspective, they will easily make their way out of the group stage. The odds on them going all the way are juicy, especially if you bet with Cyber.bet.

Group B, however, will be more contested. Both Illuminar Gaming and SMASH should be considered as favorites in this group. From our perspective, Illuminar should be slightly more favored from the group.

Nevertheless, they should grab a spot in the playoffs by either topping their group or by defeating Budapest Five and Ambush. If they can do that, their path to victory should not be that hard since Group A is not that competitive.

All in all, CSGO betting on these two teams to make it across the finish line is definitely a smart bet. Keep in mind that you can also place straight match winner bets on these two teams and end up in profit.
