Which teams are invited to ELEAGUE CSGO Invitational?

The name says it all. There were no qualifications for this event, and each team received an invite from the host. Even though we are lacking top 10 teams, we still have two hot prospects in this one.

Both FaZe and BIG acquired serious firepower in the last couple of weeks. German organization added the best Turkish player to their roster, İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş, while FaZe replaced their coach Robert “RobbaN” Dahlström with Janko “YnK” Paunović. They also replaced Finn “karrigan” Andersen with Dauren ‘AdreN‘ Kystaubayev and now they have even more players capable of winning games by themselves.

Alongside two European teams, we will also see two North American organizations competing in ELEAGUE Arena. This is the list of invited teams:

  • BIG
  • FaZe
  • CompLexity
  • Cloud9

As you can see, ELEAGUE CSGO betting outright odds are out, and every bookmaker is heavily favoring Faze to win this event. To be honest, I am on with them on this one. Even though FaZe still needs time to adjust with their new coach and AdreN, they should definitely be a favorite in this one, and I would not be surprised if Nikola “Niko” Kovač won this event by himself. He is playing on a level above everyone else, and it seems like you can only choose your poison against him.

To conclude, even though Faze was eliminated in the iBUYPOWER Masters 2019(interlink), they showed great teamwork in certain situations, and they can only progress forward. Given the fact that both AdreN and YnK were with the team for a week before iBUYPOWER Masters 2019, they did not do so bad after all. They definitely have the best roster in ELEAGUE CSGO Invitational 2019 and this tournament will be their proving ground for the upcoming events in 2019. If they are able to win this one, they will gain momentum, and once they get fired up, there is no stopping them, and where better to start then here.

Format & prize pool distribution

This time around, we have no groups put in place, so ELEAGUE CSGO bookmakers had an easier job, hence why we are provided with a huge amount of special bets. However, this event uses a double-elimination format.

Basically, there are two brackets, upper and lower one. All 4 teams will start in the upper bracket. Furthermore, winners will advance through to the upper bracket finals, while losers will have another go, but this time in the lower bracket. Lastly, winners of lower and upper brackets will compete in the the grand finals.

All of the matches will be played in the best-of-3 series. Down below you will be able to find the prize pool distribution among these 4 teams:

  • 1st – $80,000
  • 2nd – $40,000
  • 3rd – $20,000
  • 4th – $10,000

First match-ups & betting tips and predictions for the ELEAGUE CSGO Invitational 2019

  • FaZe – Cloud9
  • BIG – CompLexity

ELEAGUE CSGO betting should be easy to predict, since we have teams that are in either serious slumps and teams who are coming of from fresh roster changes. ELEAGUE CSGO bookmakers are offering higher odds since they do not know who to favor in this event. I believe that with the good analysis, we here at EsportsBettingTipster will be able to earn a lot of money on ELEAGUE CSGO betting.

Faze vs Cloud9

Both of these teams are coming off from iBUYPOWER Masters 2019 where they were eliminated in the early stage of the event. However, FaZe showed much more than Cloud9 in that event.

Form

FaZe and Cloud9 are not in such a great form at the moment, but there are reasons for that. Firstly, Cloud9 was not able to find permanent fifth, and they are still playing with Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro as their stand-in. On the other hand, FaZe just recently replaced karrigan and RobbaN with YnK and AdreN. FaZe just needs time to settle, and who knows maybe they had enough time to prepare and be comfortable in this one.

Let’s start with Cloud9. They were able to beat fnatic in their opening match on iBUYPOWER Masters 2019. However, they had no chance against Astralis and they found themselves playing a decider match against fnatic, again. This time around they were not so lucky, and they were defeat by the Swedes.

On the other hand, FaZe had a horrible start as they lost to Ghost in a tight fashion. After that, they faced off against Luminosity, and they won as we expected. Lastly, they had to play against their nemesis once again, and guess what, they lost one more time.

Map Pool

Map pool should be pretty straight forward in this one. Cloud9 hates playing Dust 2, and they will have to either permaban Nuke or Dust 2. This leaves an opening for FaZe and they might have an edge over Cloud9 when it comes to map selection.

Cloud9 is horrible on Mirage as of late, and FaZe could opt in for this map since they looked strong on it in the past. On the other hand, FaZe had a couple of awful performances on Overpass, while Cloud9 defeated fnatic on that map not only a week ago. Not only did they defeat them, but they also looked solid on Overpass. However, I would not be surprised if FaZe decided to permaban Overpass, since they know that there is no way Cloud9 opts in for Nuke.

Rest of the maps are comfortable for both Cloud9 and FaZe and here is our map vet prediction for this one.

  • FaZe remove Overpass
  • Cloud9 remove Nuke
  • FaZe pick Dust 2
  • Cloud9 pick Cache
  • Faze remove Inferno
  • Cloud9 remove Mirage
  • Train is left as a decider

Conclusion

There is no denying that neither of these two teams is playing in a spectacular fashion. To be honest, neither of these teams is playing on a decent level at the moment. However, I believe that FaZe can win this one simply by winning aim duels against Cloud9. Most of the Cloud9 roster is based on the CSGO veterans who are well past their prime.

Cloud9 also lacks their permanent fifth, and their timing and strategies could be off in their opener against FaZe.

All in all, FaZe can easily manipulate Cloud9 when it comes to map selection and they can go for either Dust 2 or Mirage. Do not get me wrong, Cloud9 is capable of playing Mirage, but they have been in a horrible form on this particular map. To conclude, better map pool, stronger individuals, another event with a stand-in favors FaZe. I got my money on Niko and co.

  • Betting prediction: FaZe to win
  • Odds: 1.62
