Natus Vincere will have a chance to avenge their defeat against Heroic. In their first match-up, Danes played on a level above Natus Vincere. However, I do not feel like they can repeat that in the rematch.
Below, you will be able to find our in-depth analysis and CSGO Betting Tips, alongside the best CSGO odds offered for this match.
Natus Vincere vs Heroic
These two teams are going to battle it out in the consolidation final. Whoever wins this match is going to play against North in the grand final of gg.bet ICE Challenge.
Form
Neither of these two teams is in a good form. Natus Vincere won 3 out of their last 5 matches, while Heroic also has 3 victories in their last 5 bouts. However, we will only take matches from this particular event.
Natus Vincere and Heroic faced off in an opener here on gg.bet ICE Challenge. Natus Vincere was bad in this series, and they suffered a 2-1 defeat. After that, Ukrainians played against a team from their region, AVANGAR. Even though they lost on the first map, they came back stronger than ever as they eliminated AVANGAR from the event.
On the other hand, Heroic was coming off from a victory against Natus Vincere. However, they were nowhere close to beating North. Even though Heroic won North’s map pick, it was nowhere near enough to cause an upset against Danes. They were dominated on both Nuke and Train.
Map pool
Given the fact that neither of these teams is in a good form at the moment, it is going to be hard to predict the entire map veto. However, we will try our best.
Let’s start with Heroic. Danes always permaban Cache, as that is the only map they do not play. At the moment, they are not really good on Nuke and Overpass. However, they are comfortable on Mirage, Inferno and Dust 2. In my personal opinion, Inferno is their strongest map.
Natus Vincere hates Cache, so we will have a debate on who is going to ban this map first. I can also see Natus Vincere ban Nuke, since they were stomped on this map by Heroic. Lastly, Natus Vincere is comfortable on Dust 2, Mirage and Train. Furthermore, their best map by far is Overpass. At the moment, they are having a terrible time on both Inferno and Cache.
MAP VETO
- Natus Vincere remove Nuke
- Heroic remove Overpass
- Natus Vincere pick Train
- Heroic pick Inferno
- Natus Vincere remove Cache
- Heroic remove Dust 2
- Mirage is left as a decider
Head-to-head
Heroic played against Natus Vincere on 5 maps. 3 of these maps went in favor of Natus Vincere, while Heroic has 2 to their name.
Simple and co. were able to best Heroic on both Train and Dust 2 in the ESL Pro League Season 8 Europe. On the other hand, Heroic has two map wins against Natus Vincere on this event. They were able to defeat them on Inferno and Nuke. However, they were humiliated on Overpass.
Summary
Given the fact that both of these teams have different map pools, I am too afraid to pick a winner in this one. Furthermore, you may never know with Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. There is a reason why he was voted as the best CSGO player in 2018. If he gets going, there is no stopping him, and he wins the game himself.
However, Heroic nurtures strategic and slow playstyle. If you take a look at their roster, you can see a lot of CSGO veterans, especially friberg. Given the fact that they were able to stop Natus Vincere in their first bout, I can see a world where they are able to force a decider.
This is clearly a clash of duels, and their map pools are so different, that both of these teams will get a map where they will feel more comfortable. To conclude, Natus Vincere is not looking so good, they have a lot of flaws in their game plan, but I believe that they are capable of winning their map pick, especially if it goes to either Train or Overpass. On the other hand, if Heroic is able to get their hands on Inferno or Nuke, we are definitely seeing a decider in this one.
